Cities After DarkCHAPTER 04 OF 04

The Night Gives Way to Morning

Before the Dawn

In the hours before sunrise, the city exists between two worlds. The streets are still quiet, but the first signs of morning are beginning to appear. Delivery trucks make their rounds, bakeries prepare for the day ahead, and early commuters emerge into the cool morning air. As the horizon begins to brighten, the city prepares to begin again.

The First Light

As the first light reaches the rooftops, the city's nighttime world begins to fade. Streetlights switch off, storefronts reopen, and the familiar rhythm of daytime slowly returns. Yet the night has left its mark. Behind every illuminated window, quiet street, and early morning journey are countless stories that unfold while much of the world sleeps. The city never truly stops. It simply changes with the light.
